Jacob Evan Robertson

 

About 

Jacob is a pianist, composer, and teacher based in the Northern Alabama / Southern Tennessee area.

​

He began playing piano at age 9 and has spent over a decade developing his craft through performance, improvisation, accompaniment, and composition. His playing draws from classical, contemporary, and worship influences.

Musical Journey

After beginning with formal training, Jacob’s direction shifted when his teacher relocated. He spent time developing independently, focusing on composition, ear training, and a deeper understanding of how music works.

During that time, he won a local composition competition and continued his development through private study under a university-level instructor.

That combination of structured training and self-driven growth continues to shape both his playing and his teaching.

Performance & Leadership

Jacob has been actively involved in live music for years, particularly in church and community settings.

He has served on worship teams since his teenage years, regularly playing piano for services and helping lead rehearsals and services. He has also organized and led local worship events, coordinating musicians, arranging music, and guiding the overall flow of each event.

He has accompanied a children’s choir and performed in community settings and special events.

 

Current Work

Today, Jacob continues to teach private piano lessons while actively composing and developing original music.

His focus is on creating music that is genuine and moving, while continuing to grow as a musician and performer.
